The Event Sales and Sponsorship Representative (ESSR) contacts high-level executives from Fortune 100 and 500 companies to create excitement and ensure the sellout of NeuroLeadership Institute (NLI) events. The ESSR is responsible for achieving revenue and attendance goals monthly. You will also head the creation of strategic sponsorships.

This is a high-volume contact environment and requires strong organizational capabilities, attention to detail, initiative, and ambition.

NLI’s portfolio of events covers a broad range of topics inside the HR and Talent Landscape: diversity & inclusion, leadership, culture, performance, with an audience of more than 1,500 executives attending live events per year. The ESSR will be required to identify opportunities for attendees and sponsors and follow the prospect’s journey through the registration process.

Here’s a bit about who you are and what you’ll be doing:

Ticket Sales

Sell seats for NLI Summit, Insight Lab, and in-office Events

Ensure regional Talent Leader Exchanges and C-Suite Events are filled

Reach out to potential hosts in the marketplace for regional events, securing them with a 6 to 12 month lead time

Demonstrate the value of attending NLI Events and complete the registration process

Meet or exceed goals to sell out NLI Events

Lead generation activities, including outreach to prospective clients and attendees

Sponsorship

Execute prospecting email and call campaigns that yield sponsorship meetings

Research competitor websites for sponsorship prospects

Own the strategic development, packaging, pricing, and sale of sponsorships ranging from $15K to $55K+

Achieve a sales target of $200K annually

Work with Legal to develop contacts, exhibitor regulations and release forms

Measure, analyze, and report sponsorship success metrics and revenue

Act as primary sponsorship workgroup lead onsite at NLI Events

Client Relations & Customer Service

Answer prospect questions, ensuring a completion of the sale and registration process

Seamless handover to Sales Team for lead nurturing

“White Glove” follow up with prospects

Skills

Prior experience in fundraising/sponsorship

An enthusiasm for and focus on meeting goals

Strong writing skills and data analysis capabilities

New business development and sales with a “hunter” mentality

Sales and marketing acumen

Database management (familiarity with HubSpot and Confluence a plus)

Excellent telephone manners

Results oriented
